How do our Ecosystem Ponds work?

The skimmer houses your pump. As water is pulled in, larger debris is caught in an easy-to-remove basket before it can fall to the bottom and decompose. This relatively clean water is delivered to the pump, where it’s pumped up to your Biofalls.

Entering the Biofalls, the water bubbles up through a layer of filter media, called Bio-Balls. Beneficial Bacteria colonize here, ensuring a natural exchange of nitrogen and keeping your water clean and healthy!

The water filters up through the BioFalls until the basin is full. It then pours out, starting your waterfall and cascading back into your pond to restart the cycle!

Our Ecosystem Ponds are built with industry-leading products that work with nature to create a chemical-free, fully functioning ecosystem. All ponds are dug to an initial tiered 2’ depth and include all necessary plumbing, filters, rock, and materials.

Thankfully, our auto-fill valves simplify this process, ensuring consistent water levels. They are a valuable addition to any pond, making maintenance more convenient and allowing you to enjoy your pond to the fullest.

    Pond Aerators are mechanical devices designed to create water movement by increasing surface agitation, circulating oxygen back into the water. This helps maintain water clarity, preventing algae blooms and offensive odors caused by stagnation. Aerators also sustain holes in the ice during colder months for proper gas exchange.

    Algae Control Systems

    We offer an array of algae control systems tailored to your individual needs.

    The IonGen system utilizes Copper Ionization, a process that introduces a precise amount of targeted copper ions into the water. These ions effectively suppress the growth of multiple algae types without causing harm to your fish and other aquatic life.

    The Automatic Dosing System can automatically dispense multiple specially formulated water treatments to Ecosystem ponds, Fountainscapes, and Pondless Waterfalls.

    For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, we can sell you discounted bulk treatments and you can manually apply them. This allows you to connect with the natural beauty of your Ecosystem Pond.
